St. Landry Parish School System will be closed to the public

All locations of the St. Landry School System including the Central Office, Pupil Appraisal Center, Head Start administrative building, and school administrative offices will be closed to the public beginning March 18, 2020. Our offices will re-open on April 20, 2020.

During this time, our staff will still be available through appointments to conduct business and meet the needs of our community. Anyone needing assistance can call our main office at 337.948.3657, Pupil Appraisal at 337.948..3646, or 337.942.9669 for the Head Start administrative office. Please complete your census. The deadline is fast approaching. Internet response is due April 1, 2020. It is extremely important that all of our St. Landry Parish citizens are counted.

Letter to Parents of Students with Disabilities

To comply with the Governor’s school closure mandate and in an effort to ensure the health and safety of our St. Landry Parish students, the school district has developed a plan of action to provide optional home learning activities while schools remain closed. School closures and other unprecedented efforts directed by national, state, and local officials to move us safely through COVID-19 impacts our lives have affected the education of our children. We are all looking forward to the day when this crisis is behind us. In the meantime, please know that our students with disabilities are at the forefront of our concerns during this unprecedented time.
