This year the St. Landry Parish School Board will host a summer learning program for children in grades K through 8, providing not only Language Arts and Math tutoring in a small group setting but also enrichment experiences that will enable students to excel in the 2021- 2022 school year. Students will have opportunities to take virtual field trips, learn about science and technology, engage in social living projects, play sports, and develop an appreciation for art, theater, music, and more.
The 4-week program will be offered June 7th through July 1st.
Students will be offered transportation to and from the program, and meals will be provided.

Students in 7th through 9th grade can sign up for Math tutoring. Applications went home today with students. It is on a first come first serve basis. The deadline to return applications is Thursday, March 11.

Please be advised that all face to face 9th & 10th grade students will return full time on Wednesday, March 10.

MACA Reminder: 11th and 12th grade students will take the ACT test. In addition, students will complete the non-test tasks on Wednesday, March 3 during English class.

We will continue to consult with school administrators, the National Weather Service, and the Office of Emergency Preparedness in the decision-making progress regarding the re-opening of schools.

OPELOUSAS, LA -- St. Landry Parish Public schools and administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Hazardous road conditions and power outages have resulted in the districtâs decision to close facilities for our students, bus drivers, and employeesâ safety.
We will continue to monitor road conditions and consult with the NWS and the Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEM) in order to ensure the safety of our students and employees. Not all seniors have completed the FAFSA. The FAFSA is a high school graduation requirement for all seniors. Please complete this as soon as possible.
