We have a few reminders. All technology devices were due to be turned in today. If you have not done so, please come by MACA tomorrow after 10am to return devices. Devices not returned must be reported to the proper authority. The Awards Program will begin at 9 am. No guests are allowed, however, you may view the live-stream on YouTube. OPELOUSAS, LA -- Due to forecasted precipitation causing possible hazardous road conditions and widespread flooding parish-wide, all schools and head start centers will dismiss early today, May 18, 2021. The overall safety of our students and employees necessitates the early dismissal of schools.
Dismissal times are as follows:
SLATS/Alternative - 1:30 PM;
MACA/BioMed - 1:40 PM;
High School/Junior High - 2:00 PM;
Head Start - 2:00 PM;
North Central/Palmetto - 2:00 PM;
Elementary/Middle Schools - 2:20 PM - 2:40 PM (This is dependent on bus arrival from first routes.);

We will continue to consult with school administrators, the National Weather Service, and the Office of Emergency Preparedness in the decision-making progress regarding the closing of schools.

SLP Summer school for high school students will take place from June 7, 2021 to July 1, 2021. Students will attend from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Lunch will be provided.
