MACA will provide lifelong and real world learning experiences through an exceptional art-based program.

MACA will be the educator of choice for talented students in St. Landry Parish.

Magnet Academy for Cultural Arts was opened in 2005 to educate the many talented students of St. Landry Parish. MACA offers a complete education in core subjects (Math, English, Social Studies, Science, etc.), as well as instruction in six talent areas - drama, dance, creative writing, visual art, chorus and band.  The school is open to students in grades 7-12 that are zoned for any St. Landry Parish school.

Students who are interested in attending MACA must apply for enrollment.  The application period opens at the end of February and closes in April.  Talent area auditions are held in May.  Those interested in auditioning can contact the school for more information.
