Beginning on Tuesday, the MACA SGA/Renaissance and Beta Club will begin a donation drive to support Hurricane IDA relief. Please help support this drive by sending cleaning products, bug spray and childrenâs items such as coloring books, art supplies, activity books, and board games.

Exciting News!
The MACA Pelican State Credit Union branch will have a kickoff event on Tuesday, September 21 from 10 am-12 pm. The permission slip and membership application will be emailed to each student this evening. You may return the forms via email to jsharon@pelicanstatecu.com or print out and return to school with child along with $5 for their opening account balance. Pelican is waiving the memberships fee for the day of the grand opening. Any accounts opened after Tuesday, will require $10 to open.

Good Afternoon MACA parents,
In order to keep the flow of traffic moving and congestion down at dismissal, we ask that the pickup line face the EAST DIRECTION (facing I-49) on Leo St. If parking on Pamella St. (across the street from school), please face the school on right side of street. Only right turns will be allowed. We hope to have a police officer to direct everyone for a smooth process. This process will begin on Monday, September 20.

Please be advised that we were notified at 2:30 by the Transportation Department that Bus 530 will not be running for the next two (2) weeks. There are no substitute bus drivers, therefore, you must arrange transportation to and from school for your child. We apologize for any inconveniences.

TIK TOK CHALLENGE - PLEASE SHARE & JOIN IN THE FUN!


All St. Landry Parish schools and facilities will be open to students Tuesday, August 31, 2021, with the exception of Cankton Elementary, Eunice Junior High (follow pre-hurricane hybrid schedule), Port Barre Middle, Port Barre High School, and Washington Career and Technical Education Center. The above-mentioned schools will continue at-home learning for students. You will receive additional information from your schoolâs administrator.
Students attending the St. Landry Parish Virtual Learning Academy will be contacted with additional information regarding coursework.


All SLPSB schools and facilities will be closed Monday, August 30, due to the impending landfall of Hurricane Ida. Continue to follow our district app, district Facebook page, local news outlets, and the district website for updates on the reopening of schools next week.
