As noted by the Louisiana Department of Education, the Steve Carter Literacy Program provides $1,500 vouchers to families of eligible K-12 public school students per school year. The digital vouchers can be used to purchase high-quality literacy and math tutoring to be held after school hours, in-person or virtually. This tutoring opportunity does not take place during instructional hours. Families will apply through the Steve Carter Tutoring portal and, if approved, parents will select an approved tutoring provider. https://www.louisianatutoringinitiative.com/s/
Thank you to the students who turned in applications to run for Student Council. Campaigning for candidates who are running will take place from Friday, August 30th thru Friday, September 6th. Election day is Monday, September 9th, at 1st hour.

MACA DnD Club's campaigns are off to a great start with experienced students helping new players create their very first characters. MACA DnD Club meets every Tuesday after school in the library. Students are looking forward to collaborating on creative storytelling in order to weave their tales of adventure.
Bus 593, Judy Semien, Beau Chene, will not run her route on tomorrow, August 28; Thursday, August 29; or Friday, August 30. She will return on Tuesday, September 3.
