Good Afternoon GCES. We are happy to report that our plumbing issue has been resolved. Thanks for your patience.
Grand Coteau Elementary is currently experiencing an issue with low water pressure, affecting the flushing of toilets in our student restrooms. Please rest assured that we are working closely with the town of Grand Coteau and SLPSB Maintenance Department to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, we are taking steps to minimize disruptions for students and staff, including providing access to other restrooms on campus with functioning toilets.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we address this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your support!
Mr. Singleton
GCES will celebrate the 100th day of school on January 31. Students may wear 100th Day shirts, shirts with 100 items on it, or dress like they are 100 years old.

Due to a major break in the town’s main water line, Grand Coteau Elementary will be closed on Friday, January 17, 2025. This unexpected situation has impacted the availability of water at our facility, which is essential for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for students and staff. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Good afternoon GCES! Bus 566, Mr. Thierry, is running late this afternoon. He is expected to pick up at 3:15. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Good morning GCES! This afternoon/evening's weather forecast notes rainy and cold conditions. For the safety and security of our students, we will NOT have Learning Beyond the Bell tutoring this afternoon.
Good evening GCES! Things a reminder that we will dismiss at 12:25 tomorrow. Also, Ms. Annette Courville (Bus 558) and Ms. Melissa Boudreaux (Bus L205) are unable to run both morning and afternoon routes tomorrow. Parents of students who ride these buses will need to make arrangements to drop off and pick up their students. We apologize for the inconvenience. Have a great evening.
