Good afternoon GCES! This is a reminder that we will host Awards Ceremonies tomorrow. Students are encouraged to wear Sundays Best Attire. Pre-K: 9:00 3rd and 4th: 11:30 K - 2: 1:00 All ceremonies will be held in the KPC Hall next door to school.

Mr. Thierry, Bus 566, is unable to run his afternoon route tomorrow. Parents of students who ride this bus will need to make arrangements to pick them up. He is able to run the morning route.

Good Afternoon GCES!!! Fun Day 2024 is finally here. Here are a few important reminders before tomorrow: 1. Fun day is for students only. Only parents who have completed volunteer forms and been contacted by the school can attend. 2. Students are encouraged to: Bring a water bottle and towel Wear old tennis shoes due to the field being wet and color run Wear comfortable athletic gear including hats and sunglasses (don't forget sunscreen the morning of) CONCESSION: Please send money with the students as tickets sold on the morning of Fun Day. Nachos w/ cheese-$2.00 Ice Cold Water-$1.00 Drink Pouch-2 for $1.00 Sports Drink - $1.00 Chips and Cookies - $1.00 Candy - 2 for $1.00 Pickles-$1.00 SNOWBALLS - $3.50 (Students will pay cash at the snowball truck.) We appreciate your support and cooperation.

Day 3 of our TIKI-riffic Staff Appreciation Week started with a beautiful 'Sunrise Breakfast' followed by a fun Popcorn Bar! Our staff is truly amazing, and we're so grateful for all they do. Mahalo!

April 22-26, 2024 is Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week (APAW), a dedicated week to recognize, appreciate and advocate for those who work with young people during out-of-school hours. Research shows that skilled and knowledgeable program staff are the backbone of program quality and are key to desired positive youth outcomes. Why is it important to recognize Afterschool Professionals? An estimated 7.8 million children participate in afterschool programs each year; for every child in an afterschool program, two more are waiting to get in. Every young person deserves quality afterschool experiences that positively impact their development. It takes skilled professionals to create these experiences. Because of the important role afterschool professionals play in kids’ lives, they deserve recognition and support!
