Mr. Chase Taylor, Bus 251, will be unable to run his route this afternoon. Those students will need to be picked up this afternoon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
We are informing you that multiple students have been diagnosed with COVID-19. They did have direct exposure with other members of our school community. We have identified close contacts. GCES will remain OPEN during this time, however, third grade students will pivot to remote learning from 1/10-1/12. Third Grade students will return to in-person learning on 1/13. Third grade Parents should continue to monitor their childâs health and the health of their families for COVID-19 symptoms. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Good evening GCES! We will have school tomorrow. Just one Word Tutoring and Learning Beyond the Bell will resume on January 18.

Good Evening GCES. We have been notified that the water line has been repaired and that full water pressure should be restored later this evening. The city will be under a boil advisory. It is recommended that students bring a bottle of water as filling stations will not be available for use. Have a good evening.

Good Afternoon GCES!
Due to a break in a water line in the town of Grand Coteau that is affecting Grand Coteau Elementary and Grand Coteau Head Start, the school will close at 1:00 PM today. They are currently working to repair the break.
Please make every effort to pick your child up if you are able to do so. Parents of car riders may report to the school at 12:45 PM to pick up their child(ren). Bus riders will be dismissed immediately following the car riders.
Please contact the school if you have questions regarding school dismissal procedures and please monitor the school website and the local news for updates.

1. Staff returns to work on Monday, Jan. 3.
2. Students return to school on Tuesday, Jan. 4.
3. Masks/Face Coverings are mandated in All SLP facilities and buses for students, employees, and visitors from Jan. 3-Jan. 13. The board will make further decisions regarding the mandate.
