Congratulations GCES! We are excited to announce that we had a 3.3 point growth in our School Performance Score and will be recognized as a Top Gains Honoree. We still have more work to do, but we are committed to continue providing our students with the tools they need to be successful!

Good Morning GCES! Please note that today there will be no Learning Beyond the Bell Tutoring. In addition, there will be no school tomorrow in observance of Election Day. School and Tutoring will resume on Wednesday.
November is Parent and Family Engagement Month. This week (week 2) our clue applies to a local business in the Grand Coteau area. The first 5 families to correctly identify and go to the business will receive a prize and the clue to next week's location.

At Thursday’s School Board Meeting, student leaders from GCES and Arnaudville were able to showcase their leadership skills. They greeted guests, lead the pledge, and assisted the Board President hand out awards.
This initiative allows Leader in Me Schools to be recognized and allows our students to explains their Leadership experiences.

The PBIS Fall Carnival was a huge success. Students redeemed 25 Class Dojo points to attend. It was a fun-filled day of games, prizes, and dancing. Most importantly, we were to build positive memories with our students. Special thanks to all of our community volunteers.




The final day of Red Ribbon Week was so much fun. “We have Character, we don’t do drugs!”

Good Evening GCES! Tomorrow students may dress up as their favorite book character. In addition, students who are attending the PBIS Carnival redeemed 25 Dojo points today. Those students who are attending may also pay $1.00 per photo at the Photo Booth. This event is only for students. Only those parents who have signed up to volunteer may attend.
