We would like to thank all individuals who donated prizes for the PBIS Bingo. It was a great success! Tomorrow, Mrs. Barbara Leblanc (Bus 280) is unable to run her morning and afternoon route. Please make arrangements to get those students to and from school. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thursday, March 30, we will have a joint Family Night Eggstravangza at Arnaudville Middle from 5:30-7:00. Please come out and have a great time.
Good Evening GCES. This is a reminder that tomorrow we will dismiss at 12:25 for Professional Development. All bus drivers will start routes at that time. We ask that all car riders are picked no later than 12:45. Thanks in advance.

Kindergarten Registration for new students to St. Landry Parish is now online. Please share the following information with anyone wishing to newly enroll their child in kindergarten in St. Landry Parish School District.
Who can enroll?
~Your child is eligible if he/she is a new kindergarten student to St. Landry Parish Schools in the 2023-2024 school year.
~Your child is eligible if he/she is five years of age by September 30, 2023.
~Your child is eligible if he or she was born between Oct. 1, 2017, and September 30, 2018.
~Your child is eligible if he/she is a current SLP Head Start Student who qualifies with age.

Also, we are accepting donations for prizes (board games, books, gender-neutral toys, etc.) for the PBIS Lucky Bingo. If you are interested in donating, please bring prizes to the front office by Thursday, March 23.
Good Afternoon GCES!!!! Tomorrow is Spring Picture Day. Students may wear school-appropriate free dress for pictures. If you wish for students
to wear sandals or open-toe shoes, they may bring them to be worn only at the time their picture is being taken. Closed shoes must be worn at all other times.

We would like to introduce Lt. Ashley Boudreaux to the GCES community. She will serve as our DARE Program Instructor. Students in Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 3rd grade will participate in the program.
We Thank Lt. Boudreaux for her presence on campus thus far as she has been greeting students as they arrive to school and visiting classrooms.
She also provided each student with at-home Child Identification/fingerprint kits.

Join us in Giving Coach Bodin and Coach Dusty a huge shout out
for implementing Wellness Wednesday into the PE Program. Each Wednesday the students set a distance goal and walk or run to achieve that goal. The students are so excited about this new endeavor to teach them how important physical fitness is to overall health and wellness. The students pictured have received certificates for reaching the 5 mile mark!!!
First grade students in Mrs. Darby and Ms. Quebedeaux's class completed dioramas of various habitats they've been studying in class. The dioramas are on display in the main hallway for all to see. Great job First Grade!!!
GCES would like to thank everyone who donated to our Mardi Gras Bead Drive. Through this partnership with Arc of Acadiana, our donations will assist in funding programs and activities for adults with disabilities in our area!
