Dear Parents/Guardians There will be no 21st-century tutoring today due to lack of bus transportation. We will start 21st century tutoring tomorrow on October 22, 2024. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Northeast Elementary Dear Parents / Guardians Reminder: Jean Days are for jeans only, unless your child wears their uniform. Students are not allowed to wear jean shorts, track suits, ripped jeans of any kind, sandals, crocs, etc. Also, district mandated policy states hoodies are not allowed on campus.

Update: Wallior street turning on to Sandoz will remain closed for about 5 days to complete the necessary repairs. Please continue to use Perry Lane to access Northeast Elementary. Northeast Elementary Schools will be open tomorrow. September 12, 3024

Important St. Landry Parish School District Announcement: After consulting with the Office of Emergency Preparedness, all schools and administrative offices will be open tomorrow, Thursday, September 12, 2024. However, please be aware that there may be transportation delays due to the aftermath of Hurricane Francine. Given the extensive geography of our parish, we understand that some areas may face challenges. If your family is experiencing storm-related difficulties that prevent your child from attending school, please reach out to the school to inform them. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Northeast Elementary will have early dismissal Tuesday, September 10, 2024. at 12:25 pm and will remain closed on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. We hope to resume normal school operations on Thursday, September 12, 2024. However, should there be any changes, the school district will update parents via text message and their social media platforms. I will also send out any additional information through Thrill-share to our Northeast Elementary family. Please be safe and careful and we look forward to seeing you when school reopens. The Opelousas Senior High School football game will take place tonight, September 6, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. The location of the game has been moved to Teurlings Catholic High School due to the conditions of the field. Teurlings Catholic High School is located at 139 Teurlings Drive in Lafayette, La. Please come out and support our tigers.
