Good afternoon GCES. We are currently experiencing internet outages. This means that our phone lines are also down. This may have affected teacher timelines to prepare information to send home. We thank you in advance for your patience.
The first two days of school were amazing. The students and staff utilized the days to begin forming positive relationships, establish classroom routines and procedures, and to get students acclimated with the campus.
GCES Staff had a powerful and uplifting two days of Professional Development. One of the highlights was the staff drafting or reconnecting to their "WHY", the reason they became and remain an educator. We're are looking forward to a great year!!!

We had an amazing first day of school today. All students are going home with some important packets that must be completed and returned to school. thanks in advance. Remember that tomorrow only students whose last names start with J-Z attend school.

Good evening GCES! Tomorrow we officially kick off the 2023-2024 school year as our first group of students will attend school. The staggered start is as follows:
Thursday, August 10: Only students whose last names start with A-I attend school.
Friday, August 11: Only students whose last names start with J-Z attend school.
Monday, August 14, All students attend.
Drop off begins at 7:20 AM in the front of the school. The tardy bell rings at 7:55. Students will report to their homeroom class upon arrival.
Dismissal begins at 2:55 with bus riders and followed by car riders.
We are look forward to a great school year!

Today the GCES Instructional Leadership Team met for a planning session. The team defined the purpose of the team, the role of all team members, reviewed current school data, identified priority areas for the 2023-2024 school, and drafted a new Mission Statement, Vision Statement, and Core Values. We can't wait to share this work with the rest of the GCES Community. Special Thanks to the Team!!!
