GCES served as a stop on the SLP Early Childhood Expedition. The expedition allowed potential parents to visit high quality early childhood sites across the district.
Members of the Leadership League led the tour showcasing the great thing happening on our campus. Thanks Mrs. Maria and Mrs. Danetta for allowing us to visit your classroom.









Today we say Thank You to all of the men and women who took a stand and served our country. Your sacrifice and dedication have shaped a legacy of freedom. Happy Veterans Day!
To celebrate our veterans, Mr. Fontenot and Mr. Ford, were joined by Mayor Richard and Ms. Linda Leblanc for a special Flag Raising Ceremony and playing of the National Anthem.
The school Flag Managers, Jace M., Hunter R., and Adair V., received a special tutorial on how to fold and raise the flag from our veterans.

Good Afternoon GCES!
Join us in congratulating our latest members of the Leadership Squad. As part of the Leader In Me, these students will assume various school-level leadership roles. We are so excited to see our students serve the school community.


Today we'd like to showcase 3rd Grade student, Josiah Mouton. He is an exemplary student who consistently LEADs. Today he enjoyed Snacks with Mr. Singleton. He used his hard earned Dojo points to visit Mr. Singleton's office for conversation and his favorite snacks (Hot Cheetos and Blue Gatorade).


Students who scored Mastery and Advanced on the Spring 2023 LEAP 2025 Assessment attended the Beau Chene Zone Academic Pep Rally today. All schools within the zone came together to celebrate these students with fun games, cheers, and dance. They were also exposed to the exemplary culture of Beau Chene High School! We are so proud of these students!!!

The PBIS Committee sponsored the PBIS Fall Carnival for students who consistently L.E.A.D. during the month of October. Students redeemed 40 Dojo points to attend. We are so proud to see our students celebrate!

We are so grateful for all of the families that joined us for Parent Night. Fostering a strong school-home connection is vital to the success of all students. Mr. Singleton shared the Annual School Improvement Presentation outlining the school wide goals for the year. Teachers also distributed 1st Quarter Report Cards.
