Good Afternoon GCES! We are partnering with the Thensted Outreach Center to collect items for the elderly in our community. Our school has been blessed, so weâd like to pay it forward by giving back to those who are in need.
We are asking you to donate the following items: Toilet Paper, paper towels, deodorant, dishwashing liquid, and dial bar soap.
You may turn in donations at the Front office by December 18, 2023. Thank you for your support!

Congratulations to the Opelousas High School Tigers!!! GCE is #SLPProud!!!

Through our partnership with the Acadiana Center for the Arts, GCES enjoyed Hobey Ford's Animalia. The show explored the magical world of animals and features Hobeyâs original âfoamies,â puppets carved from large blocks of foam with intricate mechanical design that gives each puppet realistic movements.

Congratulations to the following students who sold the most items during our Tasteful Temptations Fundraiser. Each student received a drone as their incentive!

Good Morning GCES! We are notifying you that Mr. Thierry's Bus will be running late this morning due to a mechanical issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.

One of our key themes this year is Empowerment. Students who are members of the Leadership League have assumed various leadership roles on campus. These roles empower students to take initiative, build self-confidence, and contribute to a positive school environment. Additionally, they provide opportunities for our leaders to develop problem-solving skills, enhance their decision-making abilities, and cultivate a strong sense of community and school pride. We are so proud of our Leaders!!!

Good Afternoon GCES.
