Hello WES Family!!! Reports are ready for pick up for those who have not provided stamped envelopes. Please be advised that any technology that has not been returned will allow for studentâs records to be placed on hold. Thanks for all your patience and cooperation during this trying year!!! Have an amazing summer!!!

Effective immediately, the mask mandate for students, staff and SLPSS facility visitors has been lifted. Masks are still required while traveling on SLPSS buses.

Subject: Technology Return
The device return deadline was May 28 for VLA students. The device return deadline was May 25 for all additional students. ALL distributed technology is due back at the school at this time. Payment arrangements can be made for lost, damaged, or stolen equipment. If distributed equipment is not retrieved by the school, the proper authorities will be contacted and the studentâs school records will be placed on hold until the device is returned or paid for. Please contact the school to schedule drop off or to make payment arrangements. Thanks.

Subject: Change in School Configuration for 2021-2022
Parents, stakeholders, and students please be informed that for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year Washington Elementary will have a revised school configuration. The school will be from Grades Pre-K through 6th grade. 7th and 8th Grade students that were zoned for Washington Elementary are now zoned to attend North Central High School. Parents with students who will be in 7th or 8th grade next school year, please contact North Central High School to complete registration for your child for the up and coming 2021-2022 school year.

Subject: Dress Code for Upcoming Field Day on May 27
Students can bring a change of clothes (t-shirts and shorts) for recreation activities but must follow the district uniform policy upon arriving and departing school. The field day t-shirt will be permissible for uniform top for that day. Swimsuits are NOT allowed. Thanks and looking forward to seeing those who will be participating on that day!!!!

OPELOUSAS, LA -- Due to a break in a water line in the town of Washington that is affecting Washington Elementary, the school will close at 11:45 AM today. They are currently working to repair the break. School will resume Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Please make every effort to pick your child up if you are able to do so. Parents of car riders may report to the school at 11:45 AM to pick up their child(ren). Bus riders will be dismissed immediately following the car riders.
Please contact the school if you have questions regarding school dismissal procedures.

Washington Elementary Update: Subject: 7TH and 8TH Grade Ceremony for IN-PERSON and VIRTUAL students Attention Parents: Washington Elementary staff and students would like to take this time to invite you to our 7TH and 8TH Grade Ceremony for IN-PERSON and VIRTUAL students. It will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Students are asked to wear black and white semi-formal attire. Please have all ceremony participants at school no later than 8:00 a.m. Also, we ask that students bring in a baby or childhood pictures and a recent picture of themselves to add to our slideshow.
