LEAP testing for 4th and 5th grades starts tomorrow and 3rd grade on Wednesday. We will be testing for a portion of the day until Friday, May 6, 2022. It is imperative that your students in these grade levels arrive at school on time and remain at school the entire day. Students who are present each day of testing will receive Bronco Bucks at the end of the testing period. Students who try their best will receive a "treat" at the end of each day.
Let's work together to make your child's testing experience a positive and successful one! We have been busy at school preparing your child for testing. Here is what you can do to help us:
1. If your child does not eat breakfast at school, make sure they have a healthy breakfast at home.
2. Ensure your child gets a good night sleep.
3. Encourage them each morning to do their best.
Your child's test scores determine our school letter grade. We are the highest performing elementary school in the district and we want to keep it that way!
Thank you for all that you do. Here's to Happy Testing ahead!

Palmetto Elementary is the highest performing elementary school in St Landry Parish... Hats of to the students, parents, teachers, and staff. But.... we are not stoping at this achievment. Our babies need to be competitive with other school districts. WE need to come together as a village raising children, to help keep our babies needs met. Our babies need technology, reading comprehensive books, and learning materials. We have joined in SOLA giving day to be able to provide for our kids. SOLA giving is a donation site the public can donate directly to the school. Giving is easy. Just click the link below to donate. But there is more exciting news! We have a private donor who will MATCH the total donation!!! There is a catch, we have to raise at least $3,000 to have the private donor match the total donation. That $3,000 total is reachabe if each family donates only $15. That would give our students a minimum total of $6000 for technology and supplies. Thank you for your help. Together we can make a difference.
