Book Character Day
at Grand Prairie Elementary
The students and staff at Grand Prairie Elementary had a great time portraying some of the wonderful characters from our most beloved books! On March 5th, students at GPE celebrated reading and literacy with Book Character Day. Everyone dressed as their favorite character from their favorite book and were given opportunities to share these books with their classes. We loved sharing the books and characters that mean the most to us with our friends! #slpproud

Kindergarten students celebrated the 100th day of school by dressing like they were 100 years old last Friday! See their pictures here:

Don't forget this Friday is book character day! Help us bring literacy to life by dressing your child as their favorite book character. If you'd like, bring the book your character belongs to and share it with your class!

We will be taking pictures with bunnies in front of an Easter backdrop at GPE on March 19, 2021 . Order forms are being sent home today. We will begin collecting picture money tomorrow, and will accept payment until the day of picture taking.
