The St. Landry Parish School Board is pleased to announce Learning Beyond The Bell--Academic and Enrichment Program - a yearlong after school learning program designed to enrich the academic and extracurricular life of our kindergarten - 12th grade students.
The goal is to improve critical foundational skills in all core content areas. In addition, we will offer enrichment opportunities that will enable students to take virtual field trips, learn more about science and technology, engage in social living projects, play sports, and develop an appreciation for art, theater, music, and more.

Dates: October 2021 - May 2022 (start dates forthcoming)
Days: Monday - Thursday

GPE Parents: Tomorrow is jean day Friday at Grand Prairie Elementary! Students may wear JEANS (no jean shorts) for $1.00! As always, spirit shirts are free. AND in celebration of the upcoming "Cajun holiday", aka the opening weekend of squirrel season đ€Ł, students may also wear camouflage shirts with their jeans!


GPE Parents: Ms. Malanie Artigue's bus (#601) WILL NOT BE RUNNING this afternoon, Thursday, September 30. We anticipate that bus #601 WILL NOT RUN until October 12th, as there is presently no substitute driver. We will update you if we hear of any changes.


GPE Parents: TOMORROW, Thursday, September 30th, Ms. Malanie Artigue's bus (#601) WILL NOT BE RUNNING. There will be NO SUBSTITUTE driver, as of now, so the transportation department asks that you please find other means of transportation to and from school. We will update you as we find out more information.


GPE Parents who pick up students: Because of the unexpected bus issues, we are anticipating an influx in cars this afternoon. Here are a few car line reminders - The car pickup line begins in the gym parking lot. Please make sure that you follow the cars onto Point Verte Rd. Please do not block the main highway. You can stay in line at the end of Point Verte then cross into the parking lot when you see that there is room for you. Be sure to be respectful of cars that have been waiting in line by joining at the end. Also, please do not block the buses when they come in. Thank you for keeping our students safe!
