To ensure the Opelousas community has the chance to cheer on the Tigers, all Opelousas High feeder schools will be closed on Friday, December 8. In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the St. Landry Parish School Board administrative offices and all schools will close at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, and will remain closed for the rest of the week. We wish you all a safe and joyful Thanksgiving holiday.

The Post-Secondary Carousel is happening today, Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Opelousas Civic Center. This event is for 11th and 12th-grade students and parents to learn about the numerous post-secondary institutions available to students after high school graduation.

All St. Landry Parish Public schools will have an early dismissal on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, to facilitate professional learning opportunities. Please be attentive to communication from your child's school, as they will provide you with the precise dismissal times. These times may vary slightly from school to school. If your child typically rides the bus, please ensure someone is available at home to receive them upon their early return. If your child is a car rider, please adhere to the specific car rider dismissal time communicated by the school to ensure a smooth pick-up process. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
