Palmetto Elementary announcement: The Learning Beyond the Bell program began this week for students in grades 3 through 6. It is Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Car riders will be dismissed at 4:45 pm. There is NO Beyond the Bell on Fridays.

Palmetto Elementary will be honoring Red Ribbon Week next week (October 23 through October 27). We will celebrate each day of the week with a different dress-up theme. Flyers with the different themes will be going home with your child this week. We encourage everyone to participate.

Palmetto Elementary: The coke fundraiser money and order forms will be due to the office on Thursday, October 19, 2023. If you need additional order forms, please contact the office. 25% of the proceeds will go toward employee appreciation, and the remaining 75% will be used for classroom/school resources.

Palmetto Elementary: Today, we conducted a Practice Lockdown Drill. We will do this periodically throughout the school year. This type of drill secures the school building and safely shelters all students, staff, and visitors inside the building. The purpose of this drill is to keep the students safe from any danger outside or inside the building. Our teachers and students did an excellent job! A special thanks to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office for helping us keep our babies safe!

Palmetto Elementary will have our fall picture day on Thursday, October 19, 2023. Students must wear their school uniform for pictures.
