November 4, 2021 Dear COVID-19 Testing Clients: LDH is working with its contractor, Greenphire, to ensure that incentive fund payments are sent to testing participants as soon as possible. LDH expects virtual cards to be emailed to testing participants in the coming weeks. Once LDH has clarity on a date by which emails will be released and physical cards will be sent, we will let you know.  If your staff or parents have further questions or concerns, I urge them to call the Safer, Smarter, Schools hotline at 1-877-356-1511. Thank you, Leah S. Tatum Safer, Smarter Schools K-12 COVID-19 Testing Program Manager

Our after school program, Beyond the Bell, is in full swing! Many students are enjoying being part of it. We want to make this program available to as many students as possible. We have a waiting list of students who want to take part. We kindly ask that if you have signed up your student(s), and they are no longer taking part in the program, let us know so that we may fill that spot with someone from the waiting list.

Our food pantry is stocked and ready to go! All of our students love the pantry; whether it keeping it stocked or "shopping", the food pantry is exciting. Starting this week, we will allow Pre-K and kindergarten students to "shop" in our school's pantry! These students will get to browse shelves of items, pick out those items that they like best and bring them home! What a great experience and it is absolutely free! The students get to use decision making skills, learn more about cooperative practices, and gain a little "shopping" experience. Each month we will open the pantry to two grade levels! Here's to happy shopping! Don't forget to visit our Mobile Market tomorrow from 9-11, where you will be able to purchase vegetables, herbs, fruits, proteins, dairy products, and grains at great prices.
