It is my pleasure to welcome you to Leonville Elementary School, home of the Lions! I am thrilled that you have decided to view our school’s website in order to learn more about the wonderful students, staff, and programs we have to offer. Leonville Elementary has a reputation of excellence and we will continue to strive to become the best. We are about to embark upon a new school year with great enthusiasm and anticipation of new opportunities that will enhance our instructional program and school community as a whole.
Our school community is dedicated to providing our students with a well-rounded educational experience. While the core curriculum is provided for all students, we believe that it is critical to provide leadership opportunities, character education and exposure to the technologies in order to prepare students to compete with their global counterparts.
It is our goal at Leonville Elementary School to challenge all students to strive for excellence. To do this we must create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment. We have high expectations for our students both academically and behaviorally. Please help us by supporting these expectations at home.
We encourage you to visit our school and see that we are a school committed to children, with a college and career focus. You will find that this is a vibrant and engaging community of teachers and learners. To our parents, we believe that your involvement is an essential component to the academic success of your child. We invite you to become an active participant in our school community through volunteering, joining our PTA, attending parent/teacher conferences or attending and supporting school events. I encourage you to get engaged in all that Leonville has to offer. Your participation in our school is needed and greatly appreciated!

The student and district handbook can be found online or you can request a paper copy from your child’s teacher. This is filled with helpful information about school procedures and policies. At Leonville Elementary School, we believe it is important for families, community resources and schools to work together in supporting student success. We value family and community partnering for all students. We want our students to know the importance of schools, families and community members together supporting their work at school. We would love to partner with you to help our students become successful and productive citizens of Leonville. We welcome you to attend events and become involved!
