We would like to recognize and congratulate Stevie Oberste for representing Eunice Jr. High and St. Landry Parish in the Southwestern Louisiana Band Directors Association District 3 Honor Band that was held this weekend. Stevie's hard work and talent earned her a spot in the Concert Honor Band directed by Guest Clinician Daphne Richardson. District 3 is comprised of students from Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, Vermilion, Acadia and St. Martin parishes. Stevie is taught by Mrs. Emily Young. Keep up the great work Stevie!

Congratulations to Stevie Oberste, 7th grade student at Eunice Junior High School. She auditioned on Saturday to be a member of the 2022-2023 Southwestern Louisiana Band Directors District Association Middle School Honor Band. She made 3rd chair for the SLBDA Concert Band. She is ranked 5th overall for Bass Clarinet instrumentalists against students who auditioned from Evangeline, St. Landry, Vermillion, Lafayette, St. Martin, Iberia and Acadia parish band programs.
