Magnet Academy for Cultural Arts is accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year in the art areas of creative writing, dance, instrumental music, theatre, visual arts, and vocal music. Students who are entering grades 7-12 and are zoned for a St. Landry Parish school are eligible to apply.

Hello CMS Parents: On tomorrow, Friday, January 7, 2022, CMS will have a benefit "Jean Day" for the Mitchell/Richard family. We are asking for a minimum monetary donation of $2.00. Students will be allowed to wear BLUE jeans- (NO rips, No holes, No tears, and NO colored jeans) with a CMS spirit shirt or uniform shirt. We would like to see all of our CMS Tigers participate in this worthy cause. Parents, if you would like to provide a monetary donation or clothes donation , please contact the CMS office @ 942-4892.

Good morning, I hope you all are enjoying the holiday break. Per Superintendent Jenkins, all faculty, staff, and students will return to school next week under mask mandate Jan. 3-13. School Board members will make a decision about whether or not to extend the time period and provide us with more information as warranted. They are also trying to make arrangements for testing locations for employees, students, and family members Sunday and Monday.
