The deadline for virtual learning enrollment is today, Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Online applications/registration can be accessed on the St. Landry Parish Schoolboard website.

Creswell Middle School will have a staggered entry on Thursday and Friday to begin the 2022-2023 school year. All students that have an even home address (addresses that end in 0, 2, 4, 6 & 8) will attend on Thursday, August 11th, and stay home on Friday, August 12th. All students that have an odd home address (addresses that end in 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9) will attend on Friday, August 12th, and stay home on Thursday, August 11th. ALL CMS students will attend on Monday, August 15th.
The start of school is right around the corner! Students in Cohort A will begin August 11th, students in Cohort B will report on August 12th, and all students will return on August 15th. Schools will inform you of your child's cohort.
We are anxiously awaiting your return!
For the 2nd year in a row, basic school supplies will be provided for our students in grades K-12 by St. Landry Parish School Board. Please note: Any additional supplies needed can be found on school websites and/or will be communicated by your child's school.
Creswell Middle School Faculty, Staff and Parents/Guardians:
As we look forward to a new school year, the SLP School District in conjunction with Orion Laboratories will again be offering free weekly COVID testing to all students, their and school employees.
Testing is scheduled to take place at Creswell Middle on Mondays around 8:45a.m in the library. Orion Labs is changing over to a new reporting system,
therefore, all individuals wishing to participate in weekly testing MUST register under the new system utilizing the link below - even if you/your child was registered last year you MUST complete the NEW Registration Process.
EACH PERSON wishing to participate in weekly testing MUST have the registration process completed for them. If you have children that attend more than one school, you will need to register them for their school site - ex. one at PVE one at Creswell Middle one at OJHS or OHS.
Monetary incentives will again be offered - NEW - payments are currently scheduled to come twice in the school year instead of monthly - 1st payment arrives in December 2022 for testing that occurred from Aug. - Dec., and a 2nd payment arrives in May 2023 for testing that occurred from Jan . - May.

Hello Creswell Middle School Parents and Guardians: Bus 534 (Mrs. Barbara Taylor) will not be running the afternoon route on Monday, May 23, 2022. Please make arrangements to get your child/children from school on Monday afternoon. There will be NO sub driver. Mrs. Taylor will be back running her route on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
CMS Parents and Guardians, you can rest assure that your child/children will receive their end of the year recognition. They earned it and they will be recognized over the intercom, and certificates will be given out to them by their Homeroom Teacher starting today, Monday, May 23, 2022. We looked in to several options, but time was not favorable for us this year. We are truly sorry for this inconvenience.
Several of our school campuses do not have gyms or large cafeterias. Creswell Middle School, like several schools in the district are working without a full faculty and staff, and that was another factor that had to be taken in to consideration when closing out the school year effectively and orderly. We looked at doing a virtual program, and sending out a zoom link, but the internet in the cafeteria at this time is not working properly for us to make this happen.
